Please meet BSBA Member Jacqueline Martinson, owner and operator of True Beauty Wellness Spa.
How’d you get your start?
I started back in 2004 with a very small unit on Redondo Ave and 3rd St. It was one treatment room but enough to start with. I grew my business there for two years then moved to a bigger space on 7th and Roswell where my business really took off ! And back in 2006 it was really more about those express <lunch time> facials ~ these express facials catapulted my business to a point where I had to hire two more esthiticians to help me with my new growing clientele ! It was glorious to see the fruits of my labor.
Why Belmont Shore?
It’s always been my dream and goal to come to the shore ! Slowly but surely my business grew exponentially to be able to make that move here. Belmont shore to me embodies the key elements and formula of a beach city vibe ! It’s got so much culture and energy here ~ the ocean and sunshine really brings out the best in people too … I truly believe that.

Describe your work / life balance.
I get to work with the most amazing clients and have the best staff! My days are often filled with engaging conversations and laughter, which is good for the soul.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking in the canals, and visiting Granada Beach to soak up some sun. I also frequent the Belmont Pool to swim laps.
AND ... the nightlife on the shore is spectacular! As a foodie, I have a particular fondness for Nicks on 2nd and Saint & Second.
What inspired you to start your business?
I think we each have and possess our own unique energy field ~ and when nurtured and fully embodied within our craft we truly can bring a unique gift to this world !
I was in the computer industry for years but earlier in age I was in the modeling world for a couple solid years and fell in love with the beauty industry early on ~ it wasn’t until I got my first facial back in 2000 where I fell in love with the wellness and healing aspect of skin care.
I knew I had to leave my cubicle computer job that was a 9-5pm and embark my skin care journey as soon as possible ! I just knew this is what I wanted to do ~

If you could visit other place in this reality or another, where would you go?
Probably level up to 5th dimension ~ become fully AWARE ~ live in complete harmony with the frequencies and vibrations of the earth .
Harmony is the key along with resonance to evolution imo ~ leveling up is my highest intention. 💗
